Hey guys, it’s Raine and Kylie. Asking for help has never been something that comes easy to our family. We’re the kind of people who figure it out, put our heads down, and keep moving forward. But right now, we’re facing something we never could have prepared ourselves for.

Our son, Bellamy has been diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma, a rare childhood cancer affecting both of his eyes. One eye has been classified as Group E, the most advanced classification within the eye, and doctors have also found a smaller tumor in his other eye.

Honestly, typing those words doesn’t even feel real. This is all happening so fast…I don’t think we’ve fully processed it all.

Tomorrow, he starts chemotherapy (8-18-26). There are a lot of unknowns ahead of us, and if I’m being completely truthful, we’re scared. But we also know exactly what our job is right now. We show up. We fight alongside him. We make sure he gets the absolute best care possible, and we take this thing one day at a time.

That fight is going to mean a lot of trips to Chicago for treatments, procedures and appointments. It means gas, parking, meals, hotels when necessary, and unfortunately, a lot of missed time from work. As this news has begun to spread, several people have already reached out asking what they can do to help, and after some hesitation, we decided to start this GoFundMe.

Funds raised will help cover the expenses that come with Bellamy’s treatment, including frequent trips to Chicago, hotel stays when needed, parking, meals, gas, and missed time from work. Medical bills are covered, so our goal is simply to ease the additional financial burden on Raine and Kylie so they can focus their energy where it belongs: being there for Bellamy throughout his treatment.

We would never want anyone to put themselves in a difficult position for us. If you’re able to donate, we would greatly appreciate it. If you aren’t, that’s okay. Share this. Say a prayer for Bellamy. Send some positive thoughts his way. Everything matters right now.

The next several months are a question mark for us. What we do know is that Bellamy isn’t walking through any of this alone.

He’s got one hell of a fight ahead of him.

The good news is he’s got one hell of an extended family standing behind him!

Thank you to everyone who continues to call, text, pray, check in, offer help or simply remind us that we’re not doing this alone. We likely won’t have the words to show our true appreciation, but please know that we’re incredibly grateful for all of you.

Time to fight.
