Belinda Needs a Little Help

Hi all,

As most of you don't know...lol...I started teaching first and second grade last year, at a small private school in East Nashville.

Let's go back... Since Covid 2020, I have been struggling to get my Producing/Editing/Directing business back on its feet. I would get a good client for a while, and then money would run out. I've continued to try and find creative ways to use my decades of experience in Production, but to no avail. It has been a difficult few years, but God is always faithful. I just think this is the end of that journey for now, and the start of another one. I also started doing Art, and that did ok, but it had to take a back seat once I began teaching.

Last July, the Vice Principal of this school, who is a friend of mine, asked if I would be interested in teaching, and honestly, even a year earlier, I probably would have said no. But I prayed about it and felt God say, "You've been praying that I would open doors for you and close doors for you, so do you believe your prayers?" This door was wide open. So I said yes. It was a beautiful year, an extremely hard transition, but still, a beautiful year. This job also brought with it a huge pay cut (a pay cut from what I would make doing production when I had clients...ha) With the 4 years prior bringing debt and stress, and then adding minimal pay and a summer without pay, I'm struggling financially to get out of a pit and am finally humbling myself to ask for help.

I had this idea, tho, to give my art as a thank you for giving to me. This is a blessing to me to send my art out, and it also gets me into the studio to paint and build that business while being creative and using that part of myself. Which is so healing.

So if you would do me the honor of offering to help me financially in this season, specifically this summer, I've made a goal of raising enough to pay my rent and bills for the two months we are off. I am doing some nannying and dog sitting, but have struggled to find a part-time job. So art, art is my job this summer, and if you're here for it, here's what I'd like to do:

A gift of

$20 and below - a special print, thank you.

$20 and above - a 4x6 print

$50 and above - an 8x10 print on stock paper

$100 and above - an 8x10 or thereabouts print on art paper

$200 and above - an original tote, with my Aloha Art on it. I only have 12 of these.

$500 - an original artwork on paper ready to frame - 14x10

$1000 - an original artwork on paper or canvas (your choice) 16x20

All shipped to you.

This would give me the time to work on my art store before school goes back and get some momentum in that area to supplement the work with the kids during the school year.
