On New Year’s Day we received the most devastating news. With what began with just a few minor symptoms, headaches, and balance issues, our 49 year old sister in law was diagnosed with an incurable and aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma.
We won’t go into detail about what life with glioblastoma looks like, but a quick Google search of the word explains why our hearts shattered the moment we found out. There is currently no cure for this disease.
There is a personalised vaccine treatment available in Germany that offers families affected by GBM a more hopeful outlook.
This treatment is extremely costly, but our family will do absolutely anything to give her a chance to fight, and to give our brother and their daughters more time with her.
We desperately ask for your help in raising the funds for this treatment to help prolong her life.
