Hi,

My name is Beverley and here's my reason for setting up this GoFundMe page.

Becky is a dear 52-year-old friend of mine who lives in Bangalore, India, the town where I grew up.

In June 2025, she received the difficult diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Since then, she has been undergoing chemotherapy and is now scheduled for a major surgery this October, which falls between two rounds of chemo. The timing and intensity of her treatments make this both a physically and financially overwhelming journey.

Becky’s husband, Noah, has faced his own serious health challenges with a heart condition that has prevented him from working full-time. Becky works for a software company, which allows her to work from home, but at only half her usual pay. Noah, once an active soccer coach, can now only coach part-time and takes on courier work to supplement their income.

Despite their best efforts, the costs of ongoing tests, chemotherapy, and daily living have completely drained their savings and forced them into debt. Now, as Becky approaches her surgery and continued treatments, they simply do not have the resources to move forward. She has even shared that she considered stopping treatment because of the financial burden—something no one should ever have to face.

I am starting this GoFundMe on Becky’s behalf so she can focus on healing rather than worrying about how to pay for the care that could save her life. Cancer is hard enough; no one should also have to carry the crushing weight of financial stress during such a fight.
