My friend, Becky Slotty, is having a very difficult time these last few months. She has years of insurance employment experience but is having a difficult time finding the "right" position with benefits, etc. As a result, her savings are exhausted with no funds available to pay everyday expenses, e.g. rent, car payment, food, health issues, etc.etc etc. I really don't want to see her in a "homeless" situation. My philosophy has always been to "Help others whenever I can, do whatever I can." Us old retired folks are short on extra funds, but, when I can, I try to help....e.g cook up meals to donate (friends and food pantries have been generous in that regard providing foods for me to make meals). In this case, I am asking kind-hearted folks to help out my friend. Becky is a Sauk Prairie High School graduate, so some of you locals may know her. She is so kind-hearted that it hurts my soul to see the difficulties she is having.
Becky suffers from migraines, severe depression/anxiety/panic attacks, GERD, acid reflux, with a partial hiatal hernia and positive cologuard cancer test. All this in addition to job-hunting.
An update to BEcky's situation:
"I need to get thru June. I have my unemployment hearing in 2 weeks so I'll find them if they will make me pay all the unemployment benefits they already allowed to me. I lost my health insurance and food stamps since I'm working but my job won't get a full paycheck for another 3 weeks and unemployment has stopped and I haven't paid my federal income taxes yet. I have to switch all my doctors and since my therapy and psychiatrist are leaving I guess now is as good time as to look for those new doctors as long as well as a primary care and a gastroenterologist to help me with my positive cologurd test that I got to deal with yet. someone called the cops on me so it's been a really stressful week. Thank you so very much for your help. I appreciate you all!!!"
