Help Becky Rhodes in Her Battle Against ALS

Dear Friends and Community,

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support for Becky Rhodes, a beloved member of our community who was recently diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). As you may know, Becky has been a lifelong Washington resident and has deep ties to the San Juan community, where she has dedicated herself to serving both residents and guests through her taxi service. Her kind-hearted nature and commitment to helping others has touched the lives of so many.

Throughout her life, Becky has also been deeply involved in community organizations. She served as the State President (Grand Worthy Advisor) of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in 1979-1980, and has always been a positive force in her community.

Unfortunately, ALS is a progressive and debilitating disease that has already begun to take a significant toll on Becky’s mobility and independence. She is in urgent need of assistance to make necessary accommodations to her home. These include a specialized wheelchair, a ramp to allow her easier access to her home, and a specialized bed that will provide her with the comfort and care she requires.

The costs for these essential items are beyond what Becky can afford on her own, which is why we are asking for your help. Your generous contributions will go directly toward ensuring Becky has the equipment she needs to maintain her quality of life and continue living with dignity in her own home.
