Hi! My name is Beck and I’m trying to raise money to help pay for a surgery that I urgently need as a result of having autoimmune bladder disease, to remove my bladder.

The surgery to remove my problematic bladder has finally been approved by my doctors, and The surgery will be on June 8th 2026. To alleviate the symptoms of my illness, and reduce the chronic pain I live with by 90%. 

Living with this illness has been extremely difficult and has negatively affected my quality of life in many major ways. Pain, difficulty with using the restroom, difficulty with my bladder in general, damage to my kidneys, physical limitations that make doing so much as walking my daughter around the zoo for an hour or 2, result in me being bedridden the next day.

After this surgery, 90% of the constant pain I deal with will be gone, the physical limitations will shrink down to next to nothing, the stomach and digestive problems caused by the symptoms of my illness will heal and be gone, I’ll be able to work again, and overall I’ll be able to take back my life. Live instead of just surviving. To enjoy playing with and doing fun things with my daughter again that my worsening condition has made extremely difficult. And most of all I can’t wait to see the smile on my daughters face when I can tell her that the doctors helped mommy in a big way so I won’t be so sick all the time anymore.

The surgery that I need is called a total cystectomy with urostomy. The surgery is to remove my bladder, and create a new path for the liquid to exit the body, then attach a urostomy bag to the outside of my stomach at the other end of that path to collect it.
