Hello friends & family,

We are starting this gofund me on behalf of our mother, Beckie Dault.

In July of 2022, Brittnee found mom collapsed on the floor at home. It was found that Beckie had a type two heart attack due to the severity of her medical emergency, along with ketoacidosis, and other medical complications. She was in the hospital for weeks, with a stay in rehabilitation to learn how to walk, feed herself, and work on other fine motor skills. It's a miracle she is still with us, but since this incident, Beckie's health has taken a steep decline. She has since had her bladder fully removed (requiring a permanent urostomy) and is on dialysis three times per week, as a result of end stage kidney failure.

Fast forward to September 19, 2025, Beckie had suffered a second heart attack, which then led to a weeks' long stay in Midland. With many appointments, and a secondary referral, her Cardiology team in Ann Arbor has scheduled a triple heart bypass, with a stent placement surgery, for November 20, 2025. Due to her being on dialysis, she will be taken to Ann Arbor on November 15th to stay prior to her open heart surgery. As she is having heart symptoms currently, Beckie cannot wait any longer to have this open heart procedure. She will need 24 hour care for at least 4-6 weeks post-op, with recovery being approximately 12 weeks. Traveling to and from Ann Arbor and paying for living expenses, while not being able to work due to recovery, will place an extreme amount of burden on her.

This has been extremely difficult on us all the past few years and has been incredibly draining financially, especially for our mom. If you know Beckie, she never EVER asks for help. She's the type of woman to give the shirt off her back and do anything for anyone in need. As an Instructional Assistant at Alpena Public Schools, a job held for 20+ years, her caring personality shines through daily.

We need help from our friends, family, and community to get her through this difficult time, as hard as it is to ask. Any amount of prayers, monetary donation, or shares of this gofund me account would be greatly appreciated. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️
