My name is Jay Balthrop. I am the brother to Amy Montgomery and her husband Jeremy. My sister's little boy, Beckham who is 5 years old, was just diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The illness came upon them suddenly and only the insight of a Pediatrician and fast acting told her to get him to Children’s Hospital where his blood level was critically low and he was severely anemic and pale.

The nurses at Children’s Hospital in OU Medical Center, jumped into action with units of blood and tests to get an accurate assessment. He will go through treatments once a week for 8 months and then monthly for 2 years in total. They will have to travel 81 miles one way just for treatment which will require time away from work and extra cost in fuel and maintenance.

They also have a 3-year-old girl named Chandler who is healthy and looks forward to her brother's recovery!
