My name is Beck McCabe and I am a senior in the Mason Gross School of the Arts filmmaking program seeking to raise money to help bring my senior thesis, "Hitchhike Mommy", to life!
I am reaching out to anyone who may be able to help me afford certain production costs, such as: arts/crafts and sculpture materials for practical effects costume design, reimbursing cast and crew for their travel expenses to and from set, and providing my dedicated cast and crew with meals on set.
"Hitchhike Mommy" is a sci-fi/drama that revolves around the tumultuous relationship of a mother and daughter. When the pair experience car trouble on the side of the road, they’re reminded of the trouble in their own relationship. When a sleeping daughter wakes up in an empty car with her mother nowhere to be found, she searches. Will she find her missing mother or something far less maternal instead?
The short film will be produced and filmed by other Rutgers University film students with extensive experience both in academic-related projects and personal independent projects. The film will be screened at the University's senior thesis showcase, as well as submitted to several festivals. Any financial help I could receive in bringing this vision to life could not be appreciated more!
