Hey everyone, On October 14th, 2025, I went through something I never imagined would happen. I was trying to help my niece from a previous marriage and her boyfriend by letting them stay with me for a short time since they had been living out of their car. Unfortunately, things took a tragic turn. After a dispute, the situation escalated, and her boyfriend came back to my home. When I tried to get him to leave, he covered my face with a blanket and struck me with a blunt object—breaking multiple facial bones, including my jaw. The photos shared on my GoFundMe do not begin to show the full extent of my injuries. I have several major fractures throughout my face and will be undergoing reconstructive facial surgery soon. I don’t yet know how long my recovery will take or when I’ll be able to return to work. This has been an incredibly painful and overwhelming experience, both physically and emotionally.
