Universal College of Beauty is a legacy — 96 years strong, family-owned, Black-owned, and proudly operated across four generations. Established in 1929, we made history as the first beauty college west of the Rocky Mountains to open its doors to African American cosmetology students. Since then, we’ve remained dedicated to empowering our community through education, opportunity, and beauty, and now barbering.

Our mission has never changed: to provide high-quality training and inspiration to future beauty professionals — including cosmetologists, barbers, and estheticians — many of whom come from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds. Today, we’re reaching out for your support to help a new generation of students take their first step.

We’re raising funds to assist students with their school start costs, especially the essential kits they need to begin their training. These kits are more than just supplies — they’re the tools that help transform dreams into careers.
