Beau's Vet Care Fund

Beau and I have been together for nearly 7 years. He is a nervous, loving dog who spends his days gruffling at the birds and other "scary" noises outside. Underneath that tough exterior is a sweet boy who loves attention and sleeping. Beau and I have been together through Graduate School, an internship in Texas, COVID, moving to Minnesota, and back to Wisconsin. He has been a large part of our transitions, as my wife and I continue to build a life together.

Beau became anemic, and we needed to rush him to emergency care. After the blood transfusion, he was doing better, and we were hopeful about bringing him home. We were on our way to get him when we got a call from emergency care that his PCV had dropped and he needed another transfusion. We agreed to the transfusion without hesitation because he is truly a once-in-a-lifetime companion.

We still don't know the reason this happened, and it will be a long road to recovery. However, he has been stable and is starting to get playful and goofy again. We still have appointments to attend and medications to give. With his energy and playfulness returning, my wife and I love having our home whole again.
