We are asking for your support in helping to get Jordaan’s and Peyton’s 1 year old dachshund “Beau” the medical help he needs. He just turned a year in January.

About 3 months ago he started loosing his hair and we started noticing these little red spots on his back and they would come and go.. then two weeks ago he started loosing the hair on his ears and scratching a lot… to the point that he was scratching so hard that he was making himself bleed.

Then this past Thursday evening we noticed some bruising on his back and inside his back legs, at first we just thought it was from him scratching…. Then Friday morning it was gone. Then Friday night it was back and worse with a lot bigger and darker marks, as a dog groomer of more than 24 years, I knew this was more than just scratching. I knew this was more serious and needed immediate attention. So Friday night we took him to the emergency veterinary hospital in North Hills and they immediately said this is serious and wanted to do blood work along with an ultrasound and X-rays to see what was causing this and make sure it wasn’t cancer or a tumor.

The veterinarian was Very concerned with it and said that it was bleeding under the skin and we need to figure out why…

The lab results came back that it is primary ITP so autoimmune…. So far he has spent 2 nights so they can see if his platelets go up, because he runs the risk of hemorrhaging if they are that low.

So we are hoping that he can come home tomorrow and they are working on coming up with a treatment plan for him… this is so sad considering he just turned 1…. that being said… the vet bills are pretty high so any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED ❤️ together I hope we can continue to get baby Beau the treatments he needs. He has become the “Canine Cuts by Korie” dog grooming shop dog. He is at work Everyday with us and Loves to give lots of cuddles as he greets our customers. They are always asking “where’s Beau?

Please help us to get our baby Beau the treatments he needs so he can be around for many more years. Also just so everyone knows, it’s not contagious. It is hereditary. Thank you so much. We really appreciate all the messages asking about him, that means a lot.
