Support Beau's Battle with Multiple Myeloma

Donation protected
  • Beau was diagnosed in August 2023 with Multiple Myeloma, and in October with End Stage Renal Disease (Kidney Failure). He started chemo immediately after being transferred to Methodist University. We continued the chemo regimen for 8 months, only to find out that there were too many cancer-producing cells in his bone marrow. We met with another Oncologist that specializes in stem cell transplants, and we were told that he would need to start a stronger chemo regimen. He finally completed the three months of stronger chemo, and it was rough on his body. In between all this, he has been in the hospital several times, had blood transfusions, IV antibiotics for several infections because of him being immunocompromised. He currently does dialysis 4 times a week. Through all of this, including my health issues, we have remained faithful to our Lord and Savior. God has brought us closer together and closer to Him. We have seen God in our story every step of our journey. We praise God for everything!

Beau will begin his stem cell transplant process on July 16, 2024. We will have a rigorous journey once they start the procedure. We will be at the Hope House during this 4-month process.

We still have lots of medical bills and needs from all of this, and anticipate a lot more medical needs with the stem cell transplant. Please continue to pray that God casts out all of our fears, that we remain strong and trust God through all of this, and to not let Satan shake us with doubt.

When we think we know what we are about to face, and God changes it.. ❤️

We met with Dr Goorha, Beau's Oncologist who specializes in Stem cell transplants. We didn't get the results that we thought we would hear.
The stronger chemo did not work, and the cancer cells in his bone were not where they needed to be. The chemo not working meant that the chemo right before his transplant would most likely not work. Our other choice was to do more chemo for months and see but there was not a good chance that anything would change. Beau immediately said NO to more chemo. The 2nd issue was the pain in his chest ( he spent 5 days at Baptist Desoto and didn't even consult his Oncologist or we would have figured out what was the issue) and left thigh. It's because he has lesions on his bones that is causing his bones to deteriorate to the point they are about to fracture or break.
plan**
We will go to Nashville TN to do a new treatment named Car-T. pray everything aligns and for God's Will for Beau to have this to extend his life.
Beau will have radiation on his lesions to help kill some of the cancer cells to stop the pain and deterioration of his bones. He also will have a pin put in his leg to stabilize it. He will begin pain management at West Cancer to assist with his unbearable pain.
Romans 8:28-3

Pray for our family as we continue in this season. Beau, myself, our daughters, grandsons and a granddaughter on the way.

Update 7/25/24
We met with our new Dr yesterday in Jackson TN. God continues to align everything for us. We met the sweetest couple The Butler's while waiting and they were the sweetest blessing. He was a pastor, and we couldn't help but feel a connection to these precious people who shared how God had worked in their lives. We then met Dr Pantin, and we felt so comfortable with him. He was so easy to talk to and took so much time with us. He was caring and personal. He was full of knowledge and ready to help us. We are waiting on insurance to approve the CAR-T and then we go to collect his white blood cells. We will come back home until they are ready to be transplanted back into him. We will be in Nashville approximately 35 days and will stay in an apartment while there, so that he is monitored. We have prayed, and are ready to do this! This could be life changing for Beau and we are excited.
Thank you for all your donations to help us during this time.
