If you know me, you know my 4 year old puppy Beauregard. He has had some difficult medical ailments over the last 4 years all of which I have been able to cover with personal funds—from cancer scares to surgeries, he’s been an expensive boy.

UPDATE 10/7: thank you all for the incredibly generous donations. Per various requests and subsequent donations from my most recent update this morning, I’ve increased the donation goal to $10k. I will have spent close to $15k on Beau in vet bills over the last 2 months, and the nearly $7k raised in the initial round has helped tremendously. Tomorrow Beau has a procedure that will be roughly $3k-$6k with the Internal Medicine Vet Specialist. We hope to have good news, answers, and an end to the seemingly endless vet bills. (He’s currently cuddled up next to me on my bed sleeping…say a prayer for Beau )

Most recently, he picked up an illness 5 weeks ago that my primary vet and the emergency vet cannot figure out how to cure. $4,000 in vet bills already, 7 visits over the last 3 weeks, and we’re coming up on over a full month of him being sick. He had to get a CT scan 9/24, another $3,000. I did not anticipate having to front $7k for my dog. But from his initial 104 degree fever, snotting yellow green everywhere, choking—totally unable to breathe to the point of falling unconscious and having to beat on his chest multiple times, X-rays being clear, multiple nebulizer treatments, bloodwork proving an infection, viral testing being negative, etc. I’m at a loss and stressed to the point that I can’t be too proud to ask for help. If you have ever met Beau, or loved on him, and can spare any amount, I would be so unbelievably grateful for the support. He’s getting weaker, and worse instead of better and I desperately don’t want to lose my puppy.
