You might know Beatriz (@abejabea, better known as Bea, our little "Abeja" or Bee) as the adventurous, intellectually curious soul who's always up for a new challenge. Her passion for cultures, languages, nature, and animals is infectious, and her charisma draws people in instantly. Bea has a heart for serving others and is deeply engaged in her community.

Just a year ago, Bea and the love of her life, Andres, celebrated their wedding. She had recently completed her master's degree in Anthropology and landed a dream job in Austin, TX. Life was blossoming.

But recently, they received an unexpected and devastating diagnosis: pediatric high-grade glioma stage 4 in the cerebellum. This aggressive brain cancer has already affected Bea's mobility and speech. She has begun intensive chemotherapy and radiation, and the road ahead is long and demanding.

While Bea's focus is now squarely on treatment and recovery, the financial burden of this fight is significant. Months of missed work and mounting medical expenses are a heavy weight.
