Support Bea's Journey to Safety and Healing

I feel slightly uncomfortable doing this again, but with some encouragement from friends, I’ve decided to. After 8 years in Portland, I am moving back home to Alaska to work on my relationship with my family and myself, to find myself again.

A lot of you are aware that I’ve just got out of a very controlling, abusive relationship. I had plans on leaving but was trying to work on making a nest egg for myself so I could leave. Without notice, I lost my house, safety, love, and respect, let alone two kids I’ve helped raise and accepted as my “step kids.”

This has been a traumatic whirlwind.

The costs I’m looking at are so I can get out of Portland sooner than December. I’m currently staying in an unfinished, molded basement with a lot of chemicals and sleeping on a mat. It’s extremely depressing and is having a big toll on my mental health and on my body’s physical health.

This GoFundMe is for a vet visit for both my cats so they can fly to Alaska with me, for their plane ticket, shipping cost of my belongings, and help with me getting a safe apartment by myself in Anchorage.

Anything is a mega help, even words and hugs are carrying me through this experience.
