Hi, this is all for my dog Bear. He has IVDD and the cost for his spine surgery is anywhere from $6,500 to $8,500. He is 7 years old and one of the best dogs I've ever had. I just cannot afford the surgery. We have been struggling with this for years, and each time with bed rest and meds, he bounced back. But this time, we are two weeks into recovery, with more meds than he has ever had, and it seems to be getting worse. If you have the means and the care to help him out, we would both be incredibly grateful and can promise he will live out a very happy life. Thank you.
(IVDD in dogs is a condition that occurs when the cushioning discs between the bones of the spinal column either bulge or burst into the space containing the spinal cord. When this disc material pushes on the spinal cord, it can cause pain, nerve damage, and even paralysis. This condition is also known as a slipped disc, herniated disc, or bulging disc.)
