FINAL UPDATE 03/11/26: I have received so much help from everybody both here and from my family and friends, Bean has made a full recovery and she did not need the surgery as she healed through having antibiotics. I am continuing to pay for everything we have spent from the day she got sick to her last follow up appointment with her primary care veterinarian on my own and so I will be stopping the donations here. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped and prayed for my baby to get better, me and my entire family are grateful for all of you!

UPDATE 10/08/25: We have found a way to pay for Bean's chest drainage but it has put us in a huge financial strain. Me and my sister are both in a lot of debt after taking out multiple loans to pay for her treatment. Her life is simply invaluable and putting her down when she's done nothing but fight and improve everyday is just wrong and something I could never live with. Please help us pay for the loans and continue to send love and prayers for Bean. I am hoping and praying that she won't need any more additional treatments and tests. Once the doctor confirms to us that she is good to go, we'll be able to breathe a little better. But all the debt has become another major stressor for us and I am hoping to get all of your help for us to get through this. We were given a rough estimate on how much the whole treatment is gonna cost and it's going to be between $15k-$20k. My name is Zy and this is Bean, my 8yr old girl cat. We rushed her to the vet late last night as she started breathing weird and wasn't herself all day. We found out that she had fluid in her lungs and that she has pyothorax. This is going to be a long journey for her and for us and I will continue to ask for help and support for her treatments. Right now we decided to take her home and do oral antibiotics for as long as she needs because it is all we can afford, even with loans and insurance. But this is not the best course of treatment that she should be getting, for that we would need a whole lot more. Her recommended treatment is a chest drainage, possible surgery and hospitalization and the estimate for it all would go up to $30k. Right now just getting her a chest drainage is what we need to do asap which would cost around $10k-$15k. I've had her since she was a kitten and i brought her all the from the philippines to here four years ago, she is a strong girl and a fighter, and we will continue to fight for her everyday. I'm asking for help for my little Bean, she is my whole heart and she means so much to me and my entire family, it's horrible that this is happening to her and even more horrible how expensive vet visits and treatment are. But I will continue to be strong just like her and hope and pray that we can give her the treatment she needs to live a long and healthy life. Please, anything will help right now.
