Beans, a miniature Dachshund, sadly was rushed to North Star last night. She injured her back Monday and declined rapidly on Wednesday after work. She needed emergency surgery to allow her to walk again.

Beans is a certified pet therapy dog helping to make lives better for folks in the community through the great work of Visiting Paws, Virtua Hospital program. Caitlyn, Bean's mom, is the director of this program and a proud Navy veteran.
