I am reaching out to my community for immediate, critical assistance.
After being unexpectedly let go from a job I was deeply dedicated to, a single missed rent payment was all it took for me to fall into crisis. I was served a Notice of Failure to Pay Rent, and the eviction process has been initiated. I need to raise $3,000 immediately to clear the overdue balance and stop the legal proceedings that threaten my home. I have until December 10th to pay the back rent for October and save my home.
This isn't about the past; this is about a cruel financial gap. I am currently fighting my former employer's disqualifying unemployment claims. The official hearing is months away, meaning these crucial funds won't arrive in time to secure my home. Compounding the stress, their failure to provide the correct paperwork is blocking my essential food benefits right now. I refuse to be beaten by red tape.
I am not asking for a handout, I’m asking for a lifeline to get me back on my feet. I am already taking major steps forward and have every intention of becoming fully self-sufficient again.
I’ve already completed almost all of my certification to become a Substitute Teacher in the state, and I expect to start working in the coming weeks! Furthermore, I am actively studying for my Insurance Sales certification to ensure my long-term financial security and build a substantial career. Getting me stable now is a direct investment in my future—and my ability to contribute to the community in two different ways.
Every single dollar will go directly to stopping the eviction process and covering critical overdue essential bills: my rent management company, BGE utilities, my cell service, and essential prescriptions.
I am committed to giving back to my community and look forward to fully supporting local initiatives once I achieve financial stability. My immediate focus is stabilizing my life so I can fully step into my new role serving our students and teachers. I am asking for your help to make this commitment a reality.
Thank you for helping me bridge this gap so I can go from fighting eviction to fighting for a better classroom.
I will be posting regular updates on my career launch progress and my start date. Thank you to everyone who has already helped me with meals, words of encouragement, and friendship. It is truly an amazing feeling to see those that I have helped want to help me back. Thank you for helping me get back on my feet.
