Help Be Khang Fight Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Be Khang is one of the closest people to my heart (and so many others as well) —a force of nature wrapped in complete warmth and grace. She has a magnetic presence that sets the tone in any room she enters. There’s a quiet authority about her—not because she demands attention, but because she naturally commands respect.

Raised in a single-parent household, Be has carried the kind of responsibilities that shaped her into someone nurturing, grounded, unwavering selflessness, and endlessly strong. Her life is defined by loyalty, resilience, and the kind of quiet courage that inspires everyone around her.

Be speaks with intention and love—always eloquent, always heartfelt. Whether she’s offering wisdom, making you laugh, or simply being present, she brings light into every space. She’s the kind of person whose love and leadership are deeply felt by all who know her.

In early November 2024, Be discovered a marble-sized lump in her right breast. She had just completed her annual physical with no red flags—and being a young, healthy mom of three, she didn’t think much of it. Still, she followed her instincts and met with her OB in December. After several delays, a mammogram and ultrasound were finally completed in January 2025.

That’s when everything changed.

Within days, Be was called back for a biopsy. The results brought devastating news: Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)—one of the most aggressive and fast-moving forms of breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, TNBC spreads faster than most other types and is more difficult to treat. A second scan of her left breast came back clear, and for that, we are grateful. Although, the cancer tripled in size by the time it was confirmed, the cancer is stable and contained in her right breast.

Be was presented with multiple treatment paths. As if facing cancer wasn’t enough, Be and her husband Jay are also raising three young children—ages 6, 4, and 2. Be made the incredibly difficult decision to forgo clinical trials so she could stay close to home, prioritizing time with her children and some semblance of stability.

Be is a full-time accountant—the sole income earner for her family—while Jay is working hard to finish his final semesters of college. They’ve done everything possible to stay afloat and fight this battle privately. But now, they’ve allowed us to share their story. Please know and understand how humble Be and Jay are, to not want to ask for anything.

Be’s treatment plan includes:

8 cycles (24 weeks) of chemotherapy

A double mastectomy

Possible radiation therapy

She is currently in her second and more aggressive round of chemo (week 17 of 24). The physical, emotional, and financial toll is immense—and growing.

We’re asking for two things:

Your prayers – for healing, strength, and peace.

Your donations – to help ease the financial burden of medical bills, childcare, and household costs, so Be and her family can focus fully on her recovery.

No amount is too small. Every dollar goes directly toward helping this amazing woman reclaim her health, her energy, and her time with her beautiful family.

We kindly ask to help surround Be with the same love and support she’s given so many of us over the years. Thank you for standing with her.

With love and hope,
