A cochlear implant processor is an external device that converts sound signals into electrical impulses, which are then transmitted to the implant electrodes in the cochlea (inner ear).

They are the devices that allow Sandra to be able to hear.

Sandra is due for an upgrade and these medical devices (though they are a blessing) are terribly expensive. Before insurance the cost can be between $7,550-$10,550. Thankfully she has wonderful insurance and the cost, though still very expensive, will NOT be almost $11,000.

That being said any monetary help would be much appreciated. Along with prayer and encouragements as we move forward with this process. Once the new devices are purchased and insurance is invested on the devices. They will be covered for 3-5 years.

The brand of processor Sandra uses is MED-El and specific processor that we are investigating in is called SONNET 3. MED-EL is the world’s leading hearing implant company on a mission to help people with hearing loss experience the joy of sound.
