Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m a full-time college student at Eastern Michigan University. I’ve shared my life with two wonderful cats, Phat Amy and BBQ, for the past 11 years. We first brought them into the family when I was just 10 years old, along with 10 other kittens we fostered at the time. I bottle-fed them, litter-trained them, and grew up right alongside them. They’ve truly been with me through every stage of my life.

Now at 21, I find myself in a difficult position. BBQ, as he’s gotten older, has developed severe dental issues that have only worsened over time. I had hoped I’d eventually be able to afford the care he needs, but the reality is that I can’t wait any longer. His health is declining, and I can’t bear to see him in any pain or discomfort.

My cats are more than pets to me as I see them as family. They’ve been my constant companions and have saved me in ways they’ll never know. I don’t usually ask for help, but I want to do everything I can to make sure they don’t suffer.

The estimated cost for BBQ’s surgery is $3,000. If I’m fortunate enough to raise the full amount, I’ll also use any remaining funds to address Phat Amy’s dental issues, which are less severe but still need attention.
