Asher has been selected to represent Canada at the 2025 World Breaking Youth Championships in Porto, Portugal August 25-31, which serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal. To qualify for the Youth Olympics in Africa in 2026, Asher must compete in both a worldwide qualifier in Portugal and a North American continent qualifier (date TBA). There are 12 dancers that will represent their Nation at the Olympics. Two of the spots are given to the Host Countries, 5 spots are given to points winners at the worldwide qualifier and 5 are given, one to each Continent at the continent qualifier. He is a two-time U13 Canadian national champion and a dedicated ambassador for Indigenous youth, exemplifying discipline, talent, and pride in his Métis heritage. We are seeking financial support in the amount of $5,500 to help with the first portion of the qualification to help cover travel and training expenses. Total amount to represent Canada at the Olympics is $24,000. We would greatly appreciate community and business financial support to assist Asher in this remarkable journey.
