Our church is in the heart of the Bayside community. There is a 45 percent Caucasian population, a 45 percent Asian population, and a 10 percent African American population. The Bayside community is the majority working class. Our VBS camp program is different from other programs in our community because we offer affordable care and accommodate those who are struggling.

Our goal for our VBS camp program is to be able to show God's love to all the children who participate. We want our children to want to follow Jesus Christ and eventually want to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Our prayer is for our children to transition from merely coming to church as VBS campers to coming to church on Sundays and being a part of God's family. We will be able to see how our VBS camp has affected children's lives by the increase in new members during our Sunday service and school.

Our VBS camp program will run in-person from Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 6pm. Our program will include enrichment in academics by going over and teaching topics such as Math, English, and Science. Recreation and Biblical applications will also be utilized every day. We will have praise and worship 2 times a day, once in the beginning and once at the end of the day. We will use the UMC VBS curriculum, which Road Trip: On the Go with God. Joshua 1:9 “The Lord your God is with you ever where you go”. We will also offer activities, such as baking, arts and crafts, STEAM, and gym. Our afternoon program will include choir, music and teaching basic instruments- Flutophones, and Handbells.

We will serve a light breakfast of toast and bagels, and lunch. We will also have daily breakfast and lunch provided by the New York City Department of Education for the campers. Romin Hong, our VBS director, has a qualifying certificate in Food Protection #14-00686 and will oversee the food preparation at the church site. Throughout the day, we will offer snacks, fruits, vegetables, and beverages.

We have installed water purifiers and HVAC systems in most of our classrooms and shared spaces. We will also supply all our VBS campers with a t-shirt. Classes will be broken up by grade- Pre-K through 8th. For group times, the grades will be combined into 5 groups: Pre-K &
K, 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th ,5th, 6th, 7th & 8th.

We offer our church members a 50 percent discount. First session- 9am to 3pm is $1400. Second session- 3pm to 6pm is $400. For the second child, it is $50 off, the third child is also $50 off.

We are hopeful that our church will grow, and that soon, we will be able to provide year-round after-school services, ESL, language lessons, and more. We ask for your continued prayers for our VBS Program. God bless you all.
