My name is Karen Helmandollar and this is our Goldendoodle Baylee who will be 2 years old next month. Baylee loves to ride in the car and yesterday there was a horrific accident where Baylee was riding in the back seat with her head out of the window and she got excited and the next thing we knew she fell out of the back window into the road as I was doing 35-40 mph. My son jumped out grabbed her as she lay yelping in the road and we were half mile from our home where we immediately jumped out to examine her. Myself and my husband rushed her an hour and a half away to the closest emergency vet and were there for hours to learn that she had no internal bleeding but does have a fractured pelvis in multiple places. We were sent to Knoxville TN to UT last night and she is there being kept medicated with pain meds and IV’s. The surgery she will need this week to repair her pelvis is estimated to be $9,000 plus or minus. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we love our Baylee and want her to get the best care absolutely possible for her.
