Bassam and Jihan's love story began just six months before the war tore their world apart. They had a beautiful house, but their happiness was overshadowed by the looming threat of conflict. When the war arrived, it stripped them of everything they had.
Before the war, Jihan was pregnant, and during the turmoil, she gave birth to their son, Munir, at Nasser Hospital.
Trapped in the hospital, Jihan faced immense challenges, delivering Munir under extremely difficult circumstances, without Bassam by her side due to miscommunication and the chaos surrounding them. Munir was eventually taken out of the hospital through a safe corridor.
Reunited as a family, Bassam was overwhelmed to meet his son, though Munir was born prematurely due to the besiegement. Now, Bassam, Jihan, and little Munir live in a nylon tent, their once bright future dimmed by the harsh realities of war.
**What Your Donations Will Help With:**
- Basic necessities: Food, clean water, and essential supplies for the children.
- Rebuilding: Starting anew and creating a stable environment for the family in a new country.
- Evacuation fees: Covering the substantial costs required to evacuate once the border reopens. The fee is $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child under 12, plus $1,000 in border exit fees.
Bassam's greatest wish is to evacuate his family from Gaza and provide Munir with the safety and security he deserves. Your donations can help this young family rebuild their lives and find hope again.
Please consider supporting Bassam, Jihan, and Munir as they strive for a better future.
