On February 15th my dad Basil Tennell got into a single car accident and was ejected from his car. He was found basically unresponsive on the side of the road. He broke his back in 4 places, cracked 2 ribs, fractured his collarbone, his right orbital bone, lacerated aorta, fractured left knee cap, partially collapsed lung, etc. These injuries left him paralyzed from the chest down and he has had to re-learn how to talk and write.

My dad's hospital bills are beginning to accumulate and we are still trying to figure out his medical coverage going forward. Also, we got his insurance to pay money to his car but he is still upside down on the remaining payment. My dad does not have active income and what he gets for social security is not going to suffice. As we face a longer road ahead of recovery these are burdens that definitely can be taxing mentally to deal with.
