On Monday May 11th Bart was riding his motorcycle to work and struck a deer.  He was transported to the Ketchikan hospital where his initial reported injuries were a skull fracture, broken right side ribs, a collapsed lung, and a broken collar bone. 

Bart was transported by Air Lift North West to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle later that same day. After arriving at Harborview and following an evaluation the doctors reported additionally that Bart had some brain bleeding, facial fractures, damaged ear drum and a spinal hematoma.
