Barry is my dog and my baby I got him for my 16th birthday, I’m 24 now. We’ve shared some beautiful memories and I wouldn’t be happy if he’s not happy. I can not imagine living my life without him . Right now he’s fighting through a traumatic eye injury after being attacked by another dog. We rushed him to the emergency vet where they found his eye was punctured, no longer intact to heal on its own. Barry’s eye needs to be surgically removed to stop the pain and prevent infection. We’re facing a $2,900 surgery that we weren’t prepared for. This has been one of the scariest and most heartbreaking moments of my life, and all I want is to take his pain away, give him a chance to heal and a comfortable remaining life as he’s getting older. But Barry is still strong and full of life, and with this surgery he can still live a happy, normal life.
