Support Barry & Val as he fights Cancer
Donation protected
Barry Slade,
A man with a big heart and a sarcastic joke for every situation, could use our help. Barry was recently diagnosed with two different types of aggressive cancer. One in the Trigeminal nerve in his brain and the other is pancreatic cancer. He is awaiting a treatment plan currently and unsure of the overwhelming road ahead.
Barry and Val have been married since Oct of 1983 and have 2 sons both who serve in the Canadian forces.
Last year, his wife Val suffered a cardiac arrest, and was thankfully resuscitated. She was in the ICU for a few months in London however now suffers long term deficits including the inability to ambulate and requiring a wheelchair. Barry has been her primary care giver during this time. As you can imagine this road Barry and Val are on has been such a struggle.
With Barry’s health declining quickly and treatments to begin, he is actively searching for a long-term care solution for Val to properly care for her. The cost for this is substantial and we are looking to support and love Barry and Val as much as we can.
Barry is a retired Paramedic and has been apart of the Guelph Wellington Paramedic service family since 1979 when he started working for the Royal city ambulance. Barry also worked in Orangeville and briefly in Muskoka. Please join us in helping relieve some financial stress from Barry as he embarks on the challenging road ahead. He appreciates your prayers, love and support during this difficult time.
All funds donated will go directly to Barry and Val
thank you!!
