Support Barry Squire's Family in Their Time of Need

I had the pleasure of calling Barry Squire my brother-in-law for the last 31 years. Barry was a loving husband of 31 years to Tracy, devoted father to Kelsey, brother and an icon in the music industry. I was always amazed how I could meet a musician anywhere in town and I could say hey do you know Barry Squire? Instantly, we had a common friend.

Barry was a story teller, from his random outgoing voicemail messages, to where in the heck did you find this t-shirt?, he was always entertaining and had a story to make you laugh. He was a genuine good man you also listened and I felt heard and seen with Barry.

In the music world, his roots run deeper than I can begin to understand but I saw this post about him today and sums it up pretty perfectly. “ He gave young aspiring musicians in LA the opportunities to live our dreams, performing with world class artists. He gave a lot of your favorite musician their start, Including myself, which changed the trajectory of their entire lives. I auditioned with Hanson back in 2007 through his referral service and a couple days later I got the call that I got the gig. Years later the relationships I gained from his referral are blooming the fruits of his service.”

Barry was an amazing drummer, his most recent band Skeeter’s Pool Party was going strong and even in his 60s and 70s he was rocking hard and having a good time.

Barry you left us too soon. We weren’t ready for you to leave. I started this page to help Barry’s wife and daughter with memorial & medical costs. If you can help, awesome. If not, no worries, pour one out, say a prayer or however you celebrate the life of a great human being.
