My name is Barbie, and I’m reaching out for support as I continue my fight against stage IV invasive ductal carcinoma, which has spread to my bones. I was diagnosed late last year, and since then, life has changed dramatically for both me and my husband, Roger. I’ve completed chemotherapy and surgery, and I’m currently undergoing radiation therapy. The journey has been tough, but I’m grateful for the progress I’ve made and the good prognosis I’ve received so far.

As many of you know, Roger and I run a small lawn care business together. This season, with me unable to work, Roger did his best to keep things running smoothly on his own. Despite his efforts, our finances have taken a direct hit, and it’s been a real challenge to keep up with our usual expenses, especially copays, medical bills, and the costs of getting to and from appointments. Vehicle expenses have become a real concern, and we’re doing everything we can to stay afloat.

I never thought I would be in this desperate position fighting for my life against cancer. So far I’ve done well and my prognosis is good!
