Barbie Jarrard and her family could use your help. Barbie and her husband Cory live in Auburn, IL, where she is a devoted mom, grandma, and a truly giving person. She has always looked out for others in times of need, but now she is the one who needs support. Barbie is the Human Resources Manager for Brightstar Care of Springfield-Decatur, and her kindness has touched many lives in the community.

On November 24th, Barbie became ill with pneumonia, which quickly progressed to double pneumonia. Her condition worsened rapidly, and she was hospitalized on December 4th. During her 23 days in the hospital, Barbie faced many complications with her lungs, heart, and blood clots, as well as a serious blood infection. Although she is now slowly recovering, the journey ahead is long and costly. Barbie does not have health insurance and has been unable to work since she became ill. Her husband Cory also missed work to be by her side while she was in the ICU. Barbie was finally discharged on December 26th, but she still requires daily IV infusions until the end of January and remains unable to work. This has placed a tremendous financial strain on their family, making this holiday season especially difficult.

Our hope is to help ease the financial burden for Barbie and her family so she can focus on healing rather than worrying about mounting expenses.
