Greetings friends and family of Barbara Hintzen.

I wish I was writing with some wonderful news, but I am sadly not.

I am however writing at our beloved Barbara’s request. The last year has not been easy for her on many levels. Recently, it seems to have gotten even harder. Right after Thanksgiving she had another bad fall. This one left her with a fractured pelvis and ruptured large intestines. Not good. She was in the hospital for awhile, and now finally in a rehab center. The PT is going slowly, and it has been mentally, emotionally and physically challenging. She’ll have an extended stay in rehab and will need proper care when she gets home. And the wonderful medical insurance system of Social Security and Medicare in the USA will not be enough to help her once she gets there. We can help her though!
