Aloha! My name is Tanna Swanson. I have owned and operated The Guest House in Lahaina for the past 36 years on the island of Maui, and I have been a friend of Barbara Downs for over 15 years.

For all those that knew Barbara from the Maui Guest House, we ask your support to help Barbara get back to Maui. After the Lahaina Fire, which destroyed the Guest House and the cottage next door where Barbara was residing, Barbara moved to California to be temporarily housed by members of her family. A year later, she is still living out of the two suitcases that she left with. Barbara has deeply missed Maui, her friends here, and the life that she had created for herself over the past several decades.

Well, as an answer to many heartfelt prayers, Barbara was able to secure temporary housing back on Maui in the town of Kihei. Since Barbara lives on a very small fixed income, I would like to help raise money for her travel expenses, shipping her car back (which alone is $2,100.00), and purchasing the necessary things that will be needed to set up "home" in her temporary housing while she tries to get back on her feet.
