Support Barbara DiLeo with her Breast Cancer Journey : A Journey of Resilience.

Hello, my name is Victoria Sefranek, and I’ve been blessed to be friends with Barbara DiLeo for over 30 years. We’ve faced many deep/transformative experiences together. Barbara has shown remarkable strength through unimaginable challenges, including the tragic loss and heart-wrenching moment when she held her 20-year-old son Marcus as he passed away from a rare blood cancer on November 4, 2019. This loss, the most profound of her life, has forever changed her, and I have stood by her side, witnessing her incredible spirit through it all.

*Barbara is not just a fighter; she is a devoted mother to her Daughter Taylor and son Marcus in “heaven” and a “Lolly” to her beloved 6 year old grandchildren Aurora & Sage who bring her moments of joy amid her struggles. Her children are her life along with grandchildren. In October 2022, she faced yet another hurdle when a severe injury to her spine forced her to leave her cherished role as a CNA after 15 years. Although she fought hard through major surgery and extensive rehabilitation, she now finds herself in a place of uncertainty and transition along with things that all the treatment could not mend with her Spine.

*Her son’s legacy lives on through the #AMP clothing brand he created. Barbara proudly continues this mission to inspire and uplift others, embodying his message of living by ANYMEANSPOSSIBLE with a powerful Mission Statement that was created by her son that she lives and breathes everyday. Even in her own darkest moments, she has remained dedicated to her Daughter and Grandchildren and helping others.

*In January 2025, Barbara took a courageous step toward healing by entering a partial hospital program to focus on her mental health and grief.

****Just as she began to find a path forward, she received the devastating diagnosis of estrogen and progesterone positive carcinoma Breast Cancer. This aggressive form of cancer has profoundly shaken her, leading to a series of extremely painful and invasive treatments.

Barbara has undergone multiple surgeries, including a 3-in-1 surgery to remove the cancerous masses, followed by reconstruction. Recovery has been filled with agony and complications. After surgery, she began radiation therapy, which has added further discomfort and fatigue and every side effect to her already challenging journey. Along with Major Hormone Suppressant therapy, throwing her into medical menopause.

*In a heartbreaking twist, the cancer spread to her vascular system, complicating her treatment and prognosis. Barbara underwent a risky ovary removal surgery, a procedure fraught with dangers due to the extensive scar tissue from previous surgeries. While this surgery was successful, it has left her dealing with additional pain and complications, again with every side effect.

*Currently, Barbara is on a targeted chemotherapy regimen designed for her specific type of cancer, which may continue for the next 3 to 10 years. This prolonged treatment process adds another layer of strain to her already overwhelming situation. The emotional toll is profound, as she grapples with feeling like she is living in someone else’s body, struggling with her vanity and sense of self and suffers from every side effect that drug gives.

*As her friend, I know how difficult it is for Barbara to accept help. She has always felt like a burden to those around her, yet she needs our support now more than ever. With mounting medical expenses and daily living costs, she is struggling to navigate this overwhelming journey while focusing on her healing.

*At this time, she is Unable to work, which adds to the intense financial strain.

**This is where we can come together as a community of faith and compassion. I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to help Barbara during this critical time. Let’s lift her spirits and lighten her burdens, allowing her to focus on her health and the love of her family. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in easing her financial stress and helping her find comfort.

*In the spirit of our shared faith, let us be the hands and feet of God in her life. Together, we can answer the prayers for support that she needs financially . Let’s ensure Barbara can concentrate on healing, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, without the weight of financial worries and the unbearable pressure of Health Insurance being the brutal reality that has brought her so much anguish of not covering crucial financial treatments that she needs to Heal. She is doing ANYMEANSPOSSIBLE medically necessary along with a holistic approach as well. She isn’t Quitting! Let’s help what Barbara and her family have been sharing in the world that “nobody fights alone”.
“In Jesus name “ Amen! Let’s help make her days count!

*Thank you for being a part of this journey. Your support means the world to Barbara and to all of us who care for her deeply. We need all the prayers and support and Angels all around her.

Sincerely,
Victoria Sefranek
