Hi, my name is Nahrein and I’m starting this GoFundMe for Barba Yianni, who has been running a neighborhood staple for over 20 years.

If you have ever eaten there or just chilled at the bar with the regulars, you know this restaurant isn’t just a place to grab a meal—it’s been a home for the community. Generations have celebrated birthdays, family dinners, and countless memories around those tables.

Sadly, due to unexpected hardships and challenges outside of their control, the restaurant was recently forced to close its doors. This was not by choice, and it has left a huge hole in the neighborhood and in the lives of so many who cherish it.

Anyone who knows this place, knows the different struggles they experienced throughout the years, overcoming it all and always been resilient. They are determined to bring the restaurant back, reopen stronger, and continue serving the food and love that has kept this community coming together for decades.

I created this fundraiser because I believe in them and because I know so many of us want to see those doors open again. All donations will go directly to helping cover the critical costs needed to get the restaurant back up and running with plans to open spring 2026.
