Our names are Renee and Carlos. We want to share a story about a woman we have worked with for over 17 years. Her name is Barb Highley, a single mother, Barb has always been the rock of her family, working hard to ensure a bright future for her daughter. She is a loyal, and dedicated employee who worked hard to provide for herself and family. A loving mother, grandmother, best friend to her brother and a friend to many.

In September, Barb was experiencing dizzy spells, her daughter worried took her to the Emergency Room, after being admitted for testing they found that she had Stage 4 small cell lung cancer with brain lesions. Barb's life changed that day. Not only having to come to terms with the diagnosis but a very aggressive treatment.

Barb is unable to work to support herself and cannot live alone with her current condition. She has a caregiver 24 hours a day.

While Barb faces these medical challenges head-on, the financial aspect cannot be overlooked. We're calling on community of friends, family and compassionate individuals to join us in lightening her burden. The funds raised will be directed towards living expenses, medical bills not covered by insurance, and facilitating a supportive environment where Barb can focus on healing.

Every contribution- no matter the size- brings us one step one step closer to ensuring Barb can focus on what's most important: Fighting this disease and spending precious moments with her family.
