Support Barb Herrig's Fight Against Cancer

Hello friends! My name is Jessica, and I started this fundraiser to help my mom, Barb Herrig, raise money for her medical expenses, loss of wages and long extended stays in Rochester due to her second cancer diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma. Here is an update from Barb regarding the treatment plan:

“I saw the blood and marrow Dr on Monday. The plan is to do a stem cell transplant which will give me the best chance of kicking this cancer away. According to the Dr, It is going to be a long , hard process. They will be doing a autologous stem cell, which means they will be using my own blood. They will do what they can at the Mankato Mayo Andres Clinic. The stem cell transplant itself will be in Rochester. I will have to be there for at least 6 weeks. There will be a few things that have to happen prior. I will spend a wk in Rochester while they do cardio , dental, pulmonary, and lab tests, ect. There will be stem cell extraction and some heavy duty chemo to suppress my immune system. The Dr said this chemo will be much harder than the last time. He also said after the stem cell transplant I will have no immunity and extreme fatigue! Pray for my Drs to have wisdom and direction ! For me, for peace and comfort through this process and a successful treatment ! Direction as far as finances, as I will be out of work for a while .To help me get through this, pray for me to keep my focus on our Heavenly Father, and to make a difference in people he puts in my path to be a testimony !
