UPDATE: 6/14/25 Friday morning, sedation was starting to wear off completely. Bane was very confused & didnt know what has happened to him. But once he seen his whole family showed up for him, he started making big strides. And guess what?!?! HES WALKING & doing such an amazing job considering his leg was amputated just YESTERDAY. My children was so happy to see him but also sad at the same time. Understandable. Bane has a long journey ahead of him & we’ll be here next to him every step. Please everyone don’t give up yet & keep the support coming. Anyway you can give some support, is so amazing and so appreciated. We didn’t let him move around too much today bc he needs to rest to heal but I’ll say that after seeing him stand up & walk right to me, a lot of my concerns are fading away. ❤️❤️ Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Please keep sharing the GoFundMe & please keep telling Banes story. ❤️ I’ll update again soon. Thank you everyone.

UPDATE: 06/12/25 after surgery @ 6pm - HE MADE IT THROUGH SURGERY & is recovering at home the best he can. Bane heard me & tried to sit up immediately & was wagging his tail like crazy. He’s confused & still under sedation. Hoping tomorrow will be a bit better for him. Thank you to everyone who has donated & who has been so supportive through this really hard day. Bane has a long road ahead of him, and the fight isn’t over. I have updated receipts of the surgery bill & initial vet visit. Please help me payback a selfless amazing friend of mine who saved my dogs life without hesitation no matter the cost ❤️ Keep sharing & please keep supporting. I thank each and every one of you ❤️

Hello Everyone Reading,
My name is Courtney & This is my family. My beautiful children & our companion, protector, best friend Bane. Bane is a 7 year old rescue who we adopted in 2019. He was the missing piece to our puzzle.

On May 8th, I noticed Bane limping. Within a day or two, a bump was showing on his ankle. Thinking it was a break or fracture, I couldn’t take him to the vet right away due to financial reasons. I’m a stay at home mom to 4 & struggling to regain stability again as of now, as embarrassing as that is to admit. Almost a month later, a great friend of mine, Chuck Reardon, took my dog to the vet for me to get some answers as the bump is growing by the day. Immediately after x ray, the veterinarian came back with a diagnosis of Cancer. Osteosarcoma in his left wrist. The bump is a tumor. X rays showed the cancer has not traveled outside of his leg. Chest & Lungs are clear of cancer. The only treatment is amputation. The vet expressed how important it is for his leg to be removed as quick as possible before the cancer could spread. He’s being treated by Community PetCare Clinic in Toledo Ohio.

This Thursday, tomorrow, Bane will have his leg removed in an attempt to save his life because he’s not ready to die yet. He still has so much life to live with his family & has the ambition to do great no matter what’s coming his way.

I’m asking for friends, family or anyone possible, to please donate to my fundraiser to pay Chuck back for the initial vet bill & for the costs of surgery to remove Banes leg. Chuck is one of the most selfless people I’ve ever known & I can’t thank him enough for helping me save my best friends life & the endless amount of support he’s given me since this all started.

Thank you for giving us a minute of your time. Please consider helping me pay back my best friend to save my other best friend. ❤️❤️❤️
