Support Bandit's family during this heartbreaking time.

My friends know that my passion is animal rescue. Bandit first came into my life when my amazing rescue friend Kathy Yates nursed him back to health after he was found very sick wandering the streets of East Orange NJ as a kitten.

Once he was healthy enough I fostered him for several months. Bandit is a special boy, the most loving social 16 pound panther you will ever meet. My dear friend Rachel Keane and her husband Rich adopted Bandit and for the last three years he has been so very loved.

They were recently told that Bandit had a genetic disease that was causing his teeth to rot and deteriorate. Last week he went in for a normal teeth extraction, tragically his body has had an adverse reaction to the anesthesia he was given, his kidneys are failing and he has been struggling to stay alive since Tuesday afternoon.

He went into surgery an otherwise healthy 3 year old cat and is now fighting for his life. Beyond the 1,500 for teeth extraction, Rachel and Rich had him at the emergency vet for two nights and his regular vet now for the last 24 hours and will stay for another 24. While we don't anticipate Bandit surviving this tragic ordeal my friends are doing everything they can to give him a chance.

I have attached several of the VEG bills for you to see. when all is said and done I am estimating this will cost my friends between 7,000, and 8,000 dollars. Losing a beloved pet in such a devastating way and simultaneously taking a huge financial hit is a burden no dedicated pet owner should have to face alone.
