Save Banan and Hammam's life

Hello everyone,

My name is Judy Salemdawod, and I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for my incredible cousins, Banan and Hammam Salemdawod, who have faced unimaginable challenges in Gaza.

Message from 19 year old Banan Salemdawod:
"I am Banan Salemdawood, and this is my brother Hammam. We study at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, in medical school. I am in my second year, and my brother is in his third year.

We used to aspire to become doctors and help our people, to be influential in the community's health sector. However, with the onset of this destruction, we lost everything in our lives. Our home was completely destroyed, and our parents lost all sources of income.

Our studies came to a halt. Despite the dangerous circumstances surrounding us, we remained steadfast and showed resilience and our love for helping others by assisting the doctors at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.

We are hoping to continue our studies outside Gaza to fulfil our dream of helping our community. It is so hard for us to leave our family in this situation but every dream has a price. However, that is not our only problem. Leaving Gaza requires 5000$ for each person and 5000$ more for tuition and my parents can’t afford all that money.

Our only hope is your assistance, and with utmost humility, we request it, but there is no longer any chance of survival."

Message from Me (Judy Salemdawod):
Banan, aged 19, and Hammam, aged 20, are extraordinary individuals. Despite enduring the hardships of surviving five wars, they have never wavered in their commitment to helping others. They studied so hard and were able to get to medical school. Tragically, their family home was among the casualties of the recent conflict, leaving them without a place to call their own. Each displacement brought new challenges, but Banan and Hammam refused to let these setbacks deter them from their dreams. They persisted in their studies, often in makeshift shelters, demonstrating an unwavering dedication to their education and their future profession. Their love of helping others encouraged them to go volunteer and assist doctors with helping patients during the ongoing war.

How much we need:
Each person requires $5,000 just to cross the border, in addition to tuition fees around $5,000 per person. Despite the immense challenges they face, Banan and Hamam are determined to overcome them and pursue their dreams of becoming doctors.

I urge you to join me in supporting Banan and Hammam on their journey. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in their lives and help them continue their studies. Together, we can empower these remarkable individuals to become the doctors they aspire to be and make a positive impact on their community.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Warm regards,

Judy Salem Dawod
