Bambi has been with us since we were 10 years old. He didn’t just grow up in our house — he grew up with us. Every stage of our lives, every hard day, every celebration, he was there. When we were kids trying to figure out the world, he was our comfort. When life felt heavy, he made it lighter.

Now at 10 years old, he’s still the calm protector of our home. With our younger dogs, he acts like a father — watching over them, guiding them gently, and keeping them close. He has always taken care of everyone else.

On Super Bowl Sunday, everything changed. He got into the trash and ate something he shouldn’t have. What we thought was a simple upset stomach quickly turned into a serious GI infection. He is now hospitalized, hooked up to IVs, fighting to recover.

His current vet bill is $3,900, and if he needs to stay past tomorrow, the cost will continue to increase. We were not prepared for an emergency like this, but we are doing everything we can to give him the care he needs.

Bambi has been our therapy dog since we were kids. He has carried us through so much. Now it’s our turn to fight for him.
