Support Bambi Vavra, her children and family

My name is Kassee Stewart, and I am writing this fundraiser on behalf of Bambi Vavra, her precious babies and family. After fighting a hard fight with breast cancer for the past two years, Bambi, a beautiful single mother of 3, is now at the end of her amazingly courageous battle that she’s had for the past two years. It’s in God’s hands now. Bambi is home and in comfort care surrounded by her babies and family.
In November 2022, at the age of 38, Bambi was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Facing this harsh reality, Bambi knew that she was faced with the fight of her life. So, with her Faith and the endless love for her children and family, she began treatment. She underwent chemo, had a mastectomy, completed 44 rounds of radiation and had a hysterectomy. During this time frame, Bambi did go into remission and rang the bell in victory.
However, due to the type of breast cancer that Bambi has, she continued to be treated with oral chemo; as well as completing lab work every 6 weeks. The lab work was completed to monitor the DNA of the cancer cells, which would indicate early detection of the cancer coming back, and sadly, that is what has led me to writing this fundraiser.
Unfortunately, in February 2024 Bambi’s lab work revealed that not only had the cancer spread, but it changed receptors. This diagnosis revealed that she now has Stage 4 Advanced Triple Negative Breast Cancer which had already spread into the lymph nodes of her chest, clavicle and in between the lining of her lungs. This diagnosis was beyond devasting, and Bambi and her family were once again faced with the harsh reality of this horrific disease. Bambi was faced with the fact that she knew that she had to fight even harder than the first diagnosis. Since February, Bambi has completed multiple types of chemo treatments and additional radiation. The past 10 months have been extremely difficult for Bambi, mentally and physically. She has undergone test after test, treatment after treatment while having severe complications of pleural effusion, pneumonia, declining oxygen levels, multiple blood transfusions, and much more. Bambi has remained as positive as one can under these circumstances. She continued to fight for her babies and family, and she NEVER lost her Faith.
However, about 3 weeks ago, she found out that the cancer has spread to her liver. Since that devasting news, the liver has rapidly declined, the cancer has spread to her spleen, is surrounding her spinal cord and is the lining of her brain. We are all so heartbroken; everything has moved so quickly these past few weeks; it doesn’t seem real. Bambi has fought a very courageous fight, not only has she stayed positive, she has kept her Faith, she worries more about how this is affecting those she loves than how it is affecting her, but she has also made her 2-year journey public in hopes of helping others who are fighting the same fight.
My goal is to help provide financial assistance to Bambi’s family for her funeral arrangements, as well as help the family pay for all the medical expenses and anything extra will go to her beautiful 3 children. I kindly ask, invite, and would be beyond appreciative if you could show your love and support. I also ask that you keep Bambi, her babies and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
If you feel moved to donate thank you; the family and I appreciate any support, you can offer.
Sincerely,
Kassee
