I am a close friend of Baldan Bazarov, known as Baldan Lama. He is a peaceful and respected member of the community who has always stood for non-violence, compassion, and the protection of cultural and human rights. Baldan has been a consistent voice for peace and for the preservation of the Buryat people and other small indigenous communities. His work has always been focused on helping others and bringing people together. Seeing him in this situation is deeply concerning, and I feel a strong responsibility to support him during this difficult time.
Baldan was recently detained by ICE due to an immigration-related situation that is currently being addressed through legal channels. At this time, we are working with an attorney to review his case and pursue all available legal options. There is a possibility for release through bond, as well as other legal pathways that may allow him to continue his case outside of detention. However, these processes require immediate legal support and funding. The funds raised will go directly toward attorney fees, bond (if granted), and all necessary legal expenses to ensure Baldan receives proper representation and a fair chance to resolve his case.
