Support Balboa High School Athletics

Morris Franco Varian, passed away on Jan. 27th  in Siquijor, Philippines at the age of 79.  He  grew up in  San Francisco and attended Balboa High School, where he ran track and played soccer (Class of 1957).  Throughout his life, Morris followed the lives of inspirational athletes - those that rose up from limited means and adversity to do great things.  He often shared those stories to inspire those around him to try, to not be deterred by challenge and pain, to work hard and to believe that you can accomplish great things.  In honor of his memory and generosity, we are establishing a memorial fund to help Balboa High School athletes who need help to cover the cost of sports equipment and travel.  We hope that this will inspire others to push themselves to persevere and to overcome the challenges they face - in athletics and in everyday life.
