I’m raising $11,000 to help cover travel costs, lodging, food, and lost income for excision surgery for a very rare endometriosis, including a scar-related lesions that requires a highly specialized surgical team not available near me in Wisconsin or Minnesota.

I’m having surgery September 15th–30th at Jersey City Medical Center, one of the few places in the country with a team experienced enough to treat my specific case well. This means flying from Wisconsin to New Jersey, covering lodging for the recovery period, and being unable to work for several weeks afterward.

I’m self-employed, I work as a rehabilitation contractor, yoga teacher, and nanny so no work means no income, and no PTO or sick leave to fall back on. This fund will go toward:

• Hotel near the hospital: about $4,000

• Food during travel and recovery: about $1,000 for my partner and I over 15 days in NJ

• Lost income while I’m unable to work: about $6,000
